Rachel Dziatko is a junior in Barnard College, majoring in Chemistry and doing research in materials chemistry. Although she spends many hours every week in the laboratories of Altschul Rachel is very passionate about sports, music, and her faith. She spends her free time drinking coffee and cooking with her friends. Rachel is the co-president for Columbia Catholic Ministry. She is also involved with Columbia-Barnard Choir and Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. As a former piano player and swimmer she also enjoys spending time at the pool and the practice room.
Alex is a member of the class of 2018, in the college majoring in Art History. Alex loves the city because of all the different communities you find in it, especially of course CCM. In his free time he enjoys watching films.
Eleazar Charlie Flores IV is a junior (half-junior, half-senior because he took a semester off!) majoring in Religion. He hails from the great state of Texas. Charlie is a member of the Columbia Lions football team. When he finds free time between being a student athlete and a member of CCM, he enjoys playing FIFA soccer, NBA 2K, cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys and hanging out with friends.
Nicole-Ann is a sophmore in Columbia College, majoring in Political Science and Art History and concentrating in Women's Studies. Hailing from the small SoCal beach town of Carlsbad, some of her favorite things include late-night conversations on the subway, used bookstores, experimental baking, Thomas Merton, San Diegan sunsets, and the Modern Love column of the New York Times. She is involved in various activities around campus including Columbia Spectator, Rare Candy Magazine, Pre-Law Society, Project Identity, One-to-One Mentoring, and the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee. Nicole-Ann has a passion for social justice and human rights with a particular focus in human trafficking and women's issues in Southeast Asia, and she wants to pursue a career in International Human Rights law.
Karina is currently a junior in Columbia College studying Sustainable Development. She loves dominos pizza, sunflowers, and the beach. When she was 3 years old, a priest scolded her in front of the entire congregation for being loud; she has never misbehaved in church since.
Adrian is a 3-2 Combined Plan junior majoring in Civil Engineering. He joined the board because he enjoys the people on it and thought it would be a great way to serve as Liturgy Chair. Athena Abadilla is a first-year at Barnard College, studying Secondary Education and possibly Sociology. She comes from the beautiful state of Hawaii. Fun fact: the westernmost Catholic Church in the U.S. is her home parish. You can catch Athena falling in love with God's grace at Sunday Mass, giving campus tours as a Barnard Student Admissions Representative, having smoothie study breaks at the Diana Center, or adventuring around the city during golden hour to get those artsy Instagram pictures.
John Russell is a Columbia College first-year majoring in History and Economics. He hails from St. Louis, Missouri, and is originally from Long Island. He is the CCM Social Chair, and is also involved in the Veritas Forum, the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee, Columbia Faith and Action, and Right to Life. In his free time, he enjoys writing music, doing research into linguistics, and playing ultimate Frisbee.
Leigh is a freshman studying Earth and Environmental Engineering. She is from North Carolina, her favorite restaurant is Chick-fil-A, and she loves spending time outdoors. She is also a member of the Undergraduate Recruitment Committee and Society of Women Engineers. If she is not doing school work or hanging out with CCM, you can find Leigh taking a nap or playing with dogs!
