Hi everyone! My name is John Bartee and I am so excited that I am a FOCUS Missionary at Columbia University this year! I am originally from Southeast Texas and I graduated in 2021 from the University of Dallas, a small Catholic school, with a degree in Spanish and Psychology. After graduation, I felt the Lord calling me to be a missionary with FOCUS and since then, I’ve spent three years on mission at MIT and NYU. I am pumped to be spending my fourth year here at Columbia and am looking forward to being a part of the Catholic community on campus. One fun fact about me is that I am working towards a goal of visiting all 50 states before I turn 30 and I just added state number 43 this summer when I visited Hawai’i with my family. Hey CCM! My name is Jared Richard, and I’m thrilled to be serving as a FOCUS Missionary at Columbia this year! I’m originally from Maryland and graduated from UMBC with a degree in Computer Science. After graduation, I spent four years working at T. Rowe Price—first as a Data Analyst and then as an Equity Research Analyst, which has led me to many cool adventures across the world!  Feel free to ask about my travels. For some time now, I have felt the Lord calling me to mission, and I am going all-in on his call as a missionary with FOCUS. A fun fact about me is that I come from a big family—I have eight siblings! In my free time, I love to read, learn new things, and sometimes have the chance to get out on an ATV. God bless!

Hey everyone! I’m Grace a second-year FOCUS missionary from Fredericksburg, Virginia. I graduated from James Madison University two years ago with degrees in engineering and mathematics. While in college, I grew deeply in my relationship with Jesus Christ. Since I discovered that He is Lord, He has completely changed my life and heart from being lukewarm to having a zeal for bringing souls to His Sacred Heart. What better gift could I ask for than having the opportunity to do that full time as a missionary??
